Siting Criteria for Industries by GPCB

It is very necessary to follow siting criteria. Here we are discussing siting criteria from environmental viewpoint. All State pollution Control Board has own criteria.
If industry do not follow criteria, will face financial losses delay in obtaining environmental clearance.
Siting criteria based on industry category. Industries classified in five categories by CPCB Red, Orange, Green, white and Blue.
Red Category contains those industries which has pollution index greater than 80
Orange Category contains those industries which has pollution index between 55 to 80
Green Category contains those industries which has pollution index between 25 to 55
White Category contains those industries which has pollution index less than 25
Blue category contains essential environmental services for Domestic /House Hold Activities

Above all some siting criteria for specific industries like mining, hot mix plant, stone crusher unit. Some siting criteria issued by forest department Ground water or water supply department.
Here are some standard siting criteria by GPCB

In siting criteria residential area means area contains more than 15 house.
Siting criteria not applicable to industries located in GIDC. In case of industrial estate if industrial estate obtained Environmental clearance siting criteria not applied because all siting criteria taken under consideration while environmental clearance given to industrial estate.
Some service sector industries located in city area in that case industry need to comply local body laws.
